Live Casino Has $36,000 of Fake Chips Seized
The Melbourne Crown Casino recently found 36 counterfeit $1,000 chips, with no leads as to how long these have been circulating for.
In response to this, Crown Casino has removed all of the particular issue of $1,000 chips to be sure that no more of that value can keep circulating. Investigation continues into chips of other values, however, as it will take longer to ensure that all currently circulating chips are legitimate.
Gary O’Neill, spokesman for Melbourne’s Crown Casino, reassures customers that the chips have not been in circulation for long.
“We believe they probably weren’t in circulation all that long,” he said. “But we really don’t have an accurate estimate of how long they were there.”
